How Attraction Marketing Fits with Your Internet Marketing Plan

If you’re like most sales people and hate cold calling your prospects, then attraction marketing along with a solid internet marketing plan may be exactly what you need.

Last year, I met a lady at a nutrition conference that told me she never uses her company sales tactics of in-home meetings, 3-way calls, the 3-foot rule, or bugging her family to view her products.  Instead, she uses various methods to attract interested customers online.

Today, more than ever, sophisticated consumers don’t want to be sold to.  But, they still want to buy.

So, if you can brand yourself as the go-to person in your industry, and set out a series of carefully thought out tactics on the internet, your customers will start to run to you.

You can use many free services to create a web of content that will attract leads to your product or service such as a WordPress Blog or Weebly website.

In addition, you will want to set up several lead capture pages that will engage your visitors immediately.  A good lead capture page does just that.  It will hook your prospect on something that will solve their problem or calm their fear, and in return they will receive something of value for their contact information.

Digging a little deeper, you probably know the adage of “give before you get”.  This key principle is what makes attraction marketing so effective.

By giving away something for free, you in turn will receive something you want – your prospect’s contact information.  Once your prospect signs up to receive your free information, they are invariably giving you permission to connect with them and you are building the most valuable thing you can own – your list.

As you continue to build a trusting relationship with them online by offering valuable content, you are now able to present your offers as part of your internet marketing plan.  This is because you have built trust as the branded expert that you are.

Your marketing funnel will direct them to where you want them to be and lead them to making a purchase.  And, because you have been giving before you get, your prospects will be more willing to make a purchase with you.

Regardless of who your target market is, it’s important to remember these three things:

1. Your point of contact or ‘web of content’ is where prospects first meet you on the web
2. Your lead capture page will link them to your content and help you to collect their contact information
3. Email marketing campaigns will provide the ongoing value they need and make them willing to listen to what you have to offer

Attraction marketing is not a new concept but is a changing concept.  Branding yourself as the expert in your niche is imperative to success as an online marketer, and combining a solid internet marketing plan can be done with a focused approach where your customers’ needs come first.
