Brand Building Is Now Number One
The idea of brand building has really taken off in the last 12 months. Big companies are not the only ones who can now brand themselves, as new comers to the internet marketing field are realizing that branding should be an important part for getting found faster by prospects.
So where do you start in your brand building efforts? The answer is easier than you think.
First off you need to realize that you are very good at what you do. If you/re not the expert you believe yourself to be, then no one else will believe it either.
You might be asking yourself now what the next step is? Well, you surround yourself with friends, acquaintances and information already branded as what experts do, know and teach.
However, there is one slight drawback to this approach. One day, you won’t have anything more to learn from them.
It’s possible you might fall into the “what is it that I know now that is different and unique”?
Thinking back on why people came to you to and why they wanted to pick your brain for a solution is a step in the right direction.
There are many ways you can stimulate more ideas to answer that question:
* What skills did you use to help others with?
* Your life is not static. You must have opinions and insights into things like relationships, death, financial upheavals, family like, training in a specific work related field
* Have your accomplishments ever brought you praise?
* Are hobbies and interest?
All of these can help you take on a look that can only be filled by you.
Having a unique name or nick name is a good start. Using a catchy tag line such as big companies like McDonald or Pepsi or Coca Cola might use is another possibility. You can even answer the telephone in a special way and have business cards printed that use a logo and special textured paper. There are all kinds of new and unique things you can do.
As your branding efforts spell out your unique selling proposition, it’s easy to think that something like “Teaching home business owners, how to position themselves to generate leads using attraction marketing methods in the low cost environment of web 2.0 social media by setting up a central hub like a blog or a website then driving traffic to it through SEO and social networking sites” covers what you do really well.
But it’s easy to see that every Tom, Dick and Harriet will be doing the same thing. That’s why using a catchy and short phrase is always better, such as ” Drop Useless Cookie Cutter Marketing and Learn to Brand Yourself Online”?
In order to drill down into what you can further offer, ask those around you what your strengths are. It’s possible that you see yourself as shy but others don’t see that about you. It will give you more confidence.
Becoming well known for one thing tied to your niche will help you focus on your brand image and your brand building will explode.
Being found online today is harder than ever. Millions are coming online wanting to make that elusive extra cash to pay bills. So if you don’t look at building your brand before anything else, you will be left standing out in the cold with the many other million hopefuls out there.
So being armed with the right information from those who have been there and done, such as Empowered Women Entrepreneur has, is not only important but crucial to your success.
